Replacing the air filter element

The filter element should be replaced every 20,000 km. In case of heavy dustiness, replacement should be carried out more often.



Unscrew bolt "1".

Open the quick-release fasteners (arrows) and remove the air filter cover.



Remove the filter element-1-.

Wipe the filter housing thoroughly.

In case of minor contamination, knock out the filter element with the dirty side down. An oily filter must be replaced.

Caution: Do not clean the filter element with gasoline or coat it with oil. Do not blow the filter with compressed air.

Insert a new filter element.

Place the cover so that arrows "2" and "3" in Figure W-2014 point towards each other.

Screw on the air filter cover and secure with quick-release fasteners.

Checking the carburetor

Clean the carburetor joints and rods and the throttle cable and lubricate them with molybdenum sulphide paste.

Check the operation of the intake air heater.

Check idle speed and CO content.

Replacing the fuel filter

The fuel flow filter is located in the engine compartment and must be replaced as part of the maintenance schedule every 20,000 km.

Removal

Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Disconnect the fuel hoses from the filter and remove the filter.

Installation

Insert a new fuel filter.

Note: Arrow "1" must be positioned in the direction of fuel flow, i.e. pointing towards the fuel pump.

Connect the hoses.

Connect the ground wire to the battery.
