Replacing the air filter element
The filter element should be replaced every 20,000 km. In case of severe dust, replacement should be carried out more often.
Remove bolt -1-.
Swing out quick-release fasteners (arrows) and remove the air filter cover.
Remove filter element -1-.
Wipe the filter housing thoroughly.
In case of slight contamination, knock out the filter element with the dirty side down. A clogged filter must be replaced.
Attention: Do not clean the filter element with gasoline or cover with oil. Do not blow out the filter with compressed air.
Insert a new filter element.
Position the cover so that the arrows -2- and -3- in figure W-2014 point towards each other.
Screw on the air filter cover and fasten with quick-release fasteners.
Checking the carburetor
Clean the carburetor joints and rods and the throttle cable and lubricate them with molybdenum sulfide paste.
Check the function of the intake air heater.
Check idle speed and CO content.
Fuel filter replacement
The fuel flow filter is located in the engine compartment and must be replaced as part of the maintenance schedule every 20,000 km.
Withdrawal
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Disconnect the fuel hoses from the filter and remove the filter.
Installation
Insert a new fuel filter.
Attention: The arrow -1- must point in the direction of the fuel flow, i.e. point to the fuel pump.
Connect hoses.
Connect ground wire to battery.
