Removal and installation bumpers (BMW 5 Series E28)
Removal
1. Remove the bumper cover (if there is one) and where necessary, a front spoiler.
2. Disconnect all wiring and other components that may interfere with bumper removal.
3. Support the bumper with a jack or axle stand. You can also have an assistant support the bumper while you loosen the bolts.
4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the bumper.
Installation
Reinstall in reverse order. Tighten the mounting bolts securely, then install the bumper cover and all other previously removed components.
