- Wheel mounting bolts with lock
Wheel mounting bolts with lock (BMW 5 Series E28)

Remove the cap - using a key if necessary.
Insert the key into the lock and, turning it 90° to the right or left, remove the lock.
- 0 - lock
- 1 - unlock
The lock is put on in the reverse order. When removing the key, hold it!
Mount the bolt with the lock opposite the valve.
We recommend keep one key in the tool kit supplied with the vehicle so that it is always at hand, for example, in a workshop.
Secret wheel mounting bolts
1 - Protective cap (not suitable for installation on wheels with protective bolt covers)
2 — Bolt for adapter
3 — Adapter (2 pcs. in the set of tools supplied with the car)
Wheel removal
- Turn the protective cap (1) to the left with the combination wrench and remove;
- remove from tool kit (on BMW Touring - under the front flap in the cargo area) adapter (3) and insert into the bolt;
- unscrew the bolt (2).
After this, remove the adapter and put on the protective cap.
Keep the adapter code plate in a safe place.
