Removal and installation an electric window lifter (BMW 5 Series E39)

Removal

Remove the door window glass.



Disconnect the electric window lifter plug connector.

Remove guide "1".

Mark the mounting position of the screws with "arrows". To do this, circle the screw heads with a felt-tip pen.

Loosen the 3 lower "arrow" screws.

Unscrew the 3 upper "arrow" screws.



Remove the window regulator "1" as a whole.

Installation

Insert the window regulator into the receiving corner and slightly tighten all screws "2".



Tighten screws "1" and "2" to a torque of 10 Nm.





Insert the door window glass into the window lifter's "arrow" clamping pads and adjust.



Lower the door window glass all the way down.

Tighten screws "3" and "4" to a torque of 10 Nm.



Raise the door window glass all the way up.

Tighten screws "5" and "6" to a torque of 10 Nm.

Install the guide.

Install door trim.
