Remote radio control (BMW 5 Series E39)
Unlocking

Press button 1.
At the same time, the anti-theft system is unlocked, the security alarm is deactivated and the interior light is turned on.
On some export models, the first press of the button unlocks only the driver's door, and the second press unlocks all other locks that are part of the single lock system.
Automatic opening
The electrically operated windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof can be opened using a radio remote control.
Keep button 1 pressed. If you release the button, the process of opening the windows and the sunroof will stop immediately.
Locking and alarming
Press button 2.
At the same time, the anti-theft system and security alarm are activated.
Do not lock the car if there are people inside, as it will be impossible to open the doors from the inside.
Automatic closing
The electrically operated windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof can be closed using a radio remote control.
Keep button 2 pressed. If you release the button, the process of closing the windows and the sunroof will stop immediately.
for safety reasons, automatic opening and closing of the windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof is only possible at a short distance (approx. 2 m) from the vehicle. This distance may vary depending on external interference affecting the radio remote control.
During the closing process, make sure that no one is pinched by the glass or the hatch cover. If you release the button, the closing process will stop immediately.
If the automatic closing process of the windows and sunroof is interrupted on a vehicle equipped with an alarm system, the vehicle must be unlocked again by pressing button 1 before continuing the closing process. Otherwise, the tilt sensor and the radio interior protection system will be switched off.
Turning on the interior light
Without unlocking the vehicle, press button 2.
The implementation of this function will allow you, with the appropriate range of the remote control, to find the car in the parking lot more easily.
Disabling the tilt sensor alarm
Without unlocking the vehicle, press button 2 again.
This will also turn off the radio interior protection system (refer to the "Security alarm" subsection), which is part of the security alarm.
Opening the trunk
Press button 3.
The trunk lid will open slightly, regardless of whether it was locked or not.
