Attention: It is recommended to practice on a suitable part before painting, for example.
For painting, the repair site must be dried and cleaned of dust. If possible, blow it with compressed air.
Moisten the floor of the working area with water.
Wipe the area to be painted and adjacent areas with a silicone remover. It is best to treat the surface with a silicone-free polishing paste.
Shake the paint can vigorously for 3-5 minutes before use, otherwise the surface to be painted will become scuffed.
When using paint type «metallic» First, apply some paint to a piece of cardboard to remove metal particles from the spray can.
On large surfaces, the paint is sprayed vertically and horizontally, crosswise. Start on the outside of the surface and blow the paint outward in the other direction.
In small places, paint should be sprayed in a spiral, moving from outside to inside, so as not to capture too much of the surrounding surfaces. Move the paint can at the same speed and at the same distance from the surface to be painted. The distance should be about 25 cm.
The layer of applied paint should, if possible, transition to normal original paint without steps and sharp transitions. This is best achieved when at least four coating coats of paint have been applied. Each subsequent spy should overlap the previous one by 2-3 cm.
Caution: If the paint is sprayed too close, or if the jet moves too slowly or at a variable speed, paint streaks will occur. This means that in some places the paint runs down when too much is applied at one time. The same thing happens when the direction of the paint sprayer is changed.
The paint spraying process should be carried out with 5 minute pauses to evaporate the solvent until a uniform, dense layer of paint is obtained. Spray paint type «metallic» between stages you need to shake vigorously, as small particles of metal quickly settle.
Attention: When painting with paint type «metallic» the correspondence between the new and the old paint is very difficult to achieve. pigmentation (atomization of aluminum particles) will be uniform when the last coat is applied from a distance of 30 cm instead of 25 cm. Using this technology, it is possible to equalize the color tone: slow movements of the paint jet and a richer layer create a darkening effect, faster spraying results in a lighter layer of paint.
When painting with paint «metallic» the base paint should be covered with a layer of transparent varnish, due to which the paint acquires a characteristic sheen. A layer of varnish is applied at least three or four times, and each time between the stages there is a pause of several minutes to dry the layer of varnish. Allow the base coat to dry for at least 30 minutes before applying the first coat. The clear coat should cover the base coat by about one palm's width. Before applying the varnish, you need to stick the protective paper in the appropriate places.
Release the spray bottle. To do this, turn it over and press the head until the paint stops coming out.
Remove all protective paper immediately after finishing painting work. This will distribute the applied wet paint at the transition point, ensuring its smoothness.
Dry the stained areas. The drying process can be accelerated by heating the area, for example, from a photo lamp.
Attention: Do not use a fan heater as this can cause dust particles to settle on the fresh paint.
After the paint has hardened for at least 48 hours, remove paint dust from adjacent surfaces with a mild polishing agent, rubbing it only in the longitudinal direction.
