Withdrawal
Mark the position of the front wheel on the hub so that you can then reinstall the balanced wheel in its original position. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Raise and support the vehicle in front with stands and remove the front wheel.
Loosen the tie rod end locknut.
Loosen the tie rod nut on the steering knuckle.
Press down the tie rod end with a suitable puller.
Unscrew the tie rod end, while holding the tie rod with an open end wrench on the hexagon.
Attention: When unscrewing, count the number of turns in order to facilitate the correct adjustment of the toe. It should be noted that on the left and right steering rods, respectively, the left and right threads.
Installation
Tighten the tie rod end by the same number of turns that was when unscrewing.
Tighten the tie rod end locknut to 45 Nm.
Insert the tie rod end into the steering knuckle and tighten the new self-locking tie rod nut to 65 Nm.
Install the front wheel in accordance with the marks made earlier. Do not grease wheel bolts. Lower the vehicle, tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm. Adjust wheel alignment.
