After disassembly, the wheel bearing assembly must be replaced.
1. Remove the brake disc (without disconnecting the brake hose) and the ABS wheel sensor (see chapter Brake system).

2. Remove the hub cap with a screwdriver.
Use a new cap when installing.

3. Unlock the castle nut and remove it using, for example, key No.31 2 080.
Use a new nut when installing.

4. Remove the bearing assembly using tool No.33 2 116/33 4 201/202/203 and wheel bolts (1).

5. If necessary, remove the inner bearing race from the end of the suspension beam using special tool No.33 4 402. To do this, place tool No.33 4 406/401 on the inner bearing race and squeeze until the tool can barely be turned.

6. Alternatively, to remove the dust cover and inner bearing ring, you can use tool No.31 2 100, after first removing the protective cover.

7. Install the gasket (1) onto the new boot (2).

8. Install the protective cover (1) and new dust cover (2).
The hole in the boot must be coaxial with the hole in the steering knuckle. Screw on mandrel No.31 2 110 until it stops.

9. Fit the new wheel bearing assembly and press it in using tool No.31 2 110.
10. Screw it new crown nut, tighten it to the required force and lock it by tapping it.
When tapped, the nut should lock into the groove!
11. Install the new cap on the sealant.
12. Install the wheel sensor and brake disc.
