The installation or replacement of the rubber-metal hinges of the right and left suspension arms should be carried out simultaneously.
1. Remove the engine crankcase guard.
2. Remove the suspension arm brace.
When installing, install the washer (1), use new self-locking nuts.
3. Loosen the nut and press out the ball joint using puller No.31 2 240.
There should be no traces of grease on the seat cones when installed; use new self-locking nuts.
4. The rubber-metal hinge is removed and pressed in using a press and mandrel No.31 2 261/263.
When installed, there should be no traces of grease on the hinge or in the tensioner hole.
5. The mark on the hinge must be aligned with the mark on the tensioner. When pressing in, the mandrel must fit against the outer sleeve of the hinge – the maximum permissible non-flatness is ± 3°.
6. Make sure that the projection (A) is 12.5±0.2 mm.
7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
