Replacing the PCV oil separator (BMW 7 Series E38)

1. Remove the EGR cooler and fuel distributor.

8. Release the water hose from the retainer and disconnect it from the cooling system pipe.

11. Slightly lift the cooling system tube (1) and pull it out of the thermostat housing (2).

15. Open the water hose retainer (1), disconnect it and remove the PCV system oil separator (2).

16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Use new gaskets, install them dry on pre-cleaned mating surfaces.
