Rear anti-roll bar (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the rear anti-roll bar

1. Remove the spare tire socket insert.

2. Disconnect the mounting struts from the stabilizer bar on both sides.



3. Unscrew the screws (1).

4. Remove the stabilizer (2) by moving it backwards.

Note: When installing, it is necessary to check the rubber-to-metal hinges on both sides and replace them if necessary.

Tightening torque:

• M10: 60 Nm.
• M8: 21 Nm.

5. Disconnect the non-metallic hinges from the stabilizer bar on both sides.

Note: Only when replacing the anti-roll bar.

6. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
