Servo motor (ATS 400/500 XDRIVE) (BMW X3 E83)

Replacing the servo motor (ATC400/500XDRIVE)

Attention: After replacement, use the GT 1 service function "Repair".

1. Completely remove the exhaust system.

2. Remove the heat-insulating screen.



3. Loosen the screws and remove the cross beam that secures the unit.

Tightening torque:

• M12:74Nm.
• M8: 21 Nm.

4. Disconnect connectors (1) and (2) from the servo motor.

5. Loosen the screws and remove the servo motor from the transfer case.

Tightening torque: 22 Nm.

5. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
