- turn off the ignition;
- remove the trunk trim by holding the handle on the trim panel from above and move it down;
- remove the plastic protective cover;
- disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery;
- disconnect the wire from the "+" terminal of the battery;
- insulate the "+" end of the wire with a cover:
- unscrew the mounting bolt and nut on the battery holder;
- remove the holder and the battery cover;
- move the battery pack inside the trunk and remove it from the holder;
- disconnect the ventilation hose at the front edge of the AB (if available);
- lift the handles and remove the battery from the trunk.
The installation of the AB should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to clean the AB poles with metal (copper or brass) brush. Lubricate them with anti-corrosion and conductive grease for tips of the Ft 40v1 type from Bosch.
Attention! Reverse connection sequence:
- connect the wire with the "+" tip to the battery;
- connect the wire with the "-" tip to the battery.
Install the battery so that its poles are located along the wing. The base of the battery should fit tightly into the tray. Ensure that the battery terminals are clean and securely connected to the on-board network terminals. High contact resistance can lead to overload of electronic devices, especially during engine starting.
Tighten the tip fastening bolts and the holder nut to a torque of 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m).
