Gearbox and rear axle reducer: Check for leaks, check oil level (Changing the oil in the rear axle gearbox: every 40,000 km; oil change in the gearbox: every 80,000 km).
Automatic transmission: Checking the fluid level, topping up, if necessary, ATF. (Oil change: every 40,000 km).
Half shafts: Checking the integrity and tightness of the cuffs of the hinges.
Cardan shaft: Checking the wear of the articulated discs.
Engine torque is transmitted through the clutch, gearbox and cardan shaft to the rear axle gearbox (differential). Two semi-axes depart from it to the rear wheels. All parts must be checked regularly and the oil in both gearboxes must be changed.
Attention: Old oil is handed over to special waste collection points. In places where oil is sold, a certain amount of old oil is used to pay for new oil. Therefore, do not throw away the receipt and the canister for later change! The address of the nearest point can be found in the city or village administration. Under no circumstances should the old oil be thrown out and disposed of with household waste. This causes irreparable harm to the environment, such as pollution of water bodies.
