Cleaning headlight or fog light glass

Every fifth wiper stroke when the automatic mode or the automatic intensive wiper and washer mode* is switched on, the headlights are also cleaned at the same time if the parking lights are on.

1 — Intermittent operation mode of the cleaners

The time interval is adjusted automatically depending on the speed of movement.

If there is a possibility of programming the interval*, then to program the time, briefly switch the lever from position 0 to position 1.

Time until re-switching (from position 0 to position 1) - and there is a programmed time interval (max 20 seconds, doubles when vehicle is stopped).

To turn it off, move the lever to position 2 or turn off the engine.

2 - First speed of the cleaners

When the vehicle is stationary, switching to interval mode occurs automatically.

5 — Automatic operation of wipers and washers

The cleaning agent is sprayed onto the windshield and the wiper is turned on briefly (if the lever is pressed into this position for just a moment, only the washer will operate).

6 — Automatic mode of intensive operation of wipers and washers

Similar to point 5, however, an especially strong cleaning agent is additionally sprayed onto the windshield beforehand.

Heated windshield washer nozzles

It turns on automatically when you turn the ignition key to position 2.

Use windshield washers only if there is no risk of the cleaning solution freezing on the windshield, as otherwise visibility is greatly reduced.

Do not use windshield washers when the reservoir is empty - you can damage the pump. Separate frozen wiper blades from the glass so that when you turn on the wiper, you do not damage the system.

BMW Touring

2 — Automatic rear window wiper and washer operation (push to turn on).
