Maintenance with engine oil change (BMW 5 Series E39)
Maintenance with engine oil change is required for petrol-powered vehicles every 15,000 km or at least once a year (in spring if possible). For diesel vehicles, engine oil change is required every 10,000 km, and at least once a year under light vehicle load. Under severe operating conditions, such as city and short-distance driving, frequent mountain trips, trailer towing and dusty road conditions, service intervals should be reduced by half.
