Removal
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Insulate the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental connection.
Remove the air filter. Remove the fan clutch.
Remove the poly V-belt.
Remove the ventilation hose from the rear of the generator.
From the back of the generator, pull the plug off the D+ terminal by pressing the wire retainer.
Remove the B+ connection cover. Unscrew the nut and remove the thick wire.
Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the generator.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Removal the Bosch Generator
Remove the poly V-belt (1) and generator (2).
Unscrew the three screws (6) and remove the generator protective cover.
Unscrew the two screws (4) securing the voltage regulator (3) from the rear of the generator and carefully remove the regulator.
Replace the shields (2) when their length is less than 5 mm. To do this, unsolder the connections.
