Removal and installation the rear muffler (n46 engine)
Caution: Perform these tasks only on a cold engine.

Note: The exhaust system is removed in the illustration.
1. Determine the cutting line.
1) Transfer the length of the new rear muffler to the existing muffler (2).
2) Mark the cutting line (1).

2. Cut off the exhaust pipe using tool 002210 and deburr the edges.

3. Unscrew the nuts on the rubber-metal hinge of the rear muffler on the left and right sides and remove the muffler (1).
Note: When installing, it is necessary to install the rubber-metal muffler hinge onto the new muffler.

Note:
- When installing, connect the new muffler to the front muffler using clamp couplings.
- The joint should be in the middle of the coupling.
- Align the exhaust system and clamping couplings so that they are located at a sufficient distance from adjacent components.
- Adjust the position of the exhaust pipes (1) relative to the body opening.
- Tighten the clamping sleeve bolts.
4. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note: After installation, the exhaust system must be checked for leaks.
