Exhaust manifold (engine M57 TU, M57 T2) (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the exhaust manifold (m57 TU/M57 T2 engine)

Caution: Perform these tasks only on a cold engine.

1. Remove the exhaust turbocharger.



2. Unscrew the screw.

3. Remove the heat shield (1).

4. Remove the bolts on the AGR connecting pipe.

5. Remove the heat shield (2).



6. Unscrew the nuts along the line.

7. Remove the exhaust manifold (1).

Note:

• When installing, it is necessary to replace the nuts.
• Replace all sealing gaskets.

Tightening torque: 20 Nm.

Note: The tightening sequence is from the middle to the edges.

8. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
