If the installed charge air hoses are not degreased or are damp, this may result in turbocharger failure.
1. Remove the top engine cover and cooling fan shroud.
2. Remove the air cleaner filter element (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
3. Remove the bolts (1) and remove the hose in the direction indicated by the arrow.
When installing, lubricate the working edges of the hose sealing rings with a thin layer of petroleum jelly.

4. Loosen the clamp (1) securing the EGR pipe. Remove the screws (2 and 3) and remove the heat shield and the EGR pipe.

5. Loosen the clamp (1) on the turbocharger and close the turbocharger opening. Loosen the clamp on the intercooler and disconnect the charge air hose on the right side of the intercooler. Remove the charge air line (2) together with the charge air hose.

6. Remove the bolt on the upstream catalytic converter bracket.

7. Loosen the bolts.

8. Remove the locking cover (1) of the heat shield and pull the plugs upwards.
9. Remove the three bolts located under the plugs.
When installing, lubricate the threads with copper-containing paste.

10. Loosen the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
11. Clean the mating surfaces and install new manifold gasket.
12. Installation is done in reverse order. Use new manifold mounting nuts and tighten them in sequence from the middle to the edges.
