Removal and installation the front exhaust manifold (n47 engine)
1. Remove the exhaust turbocharger.
2. Unscrew the bolts (1).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm.
Note: For clarity, the image is shown with the exhaust turbocharger removed.
3. Loosen the nuts (1) and remove the exhaust manifold (3) from the cylinder head.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to clean the connection points and replace the seals.
Attention:
- The manifold seals have a graphite coating on one side.
- They should be installed with the graphite facing towards the manifold.
4. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
5. Check the functioning of the DDE system.
