Replacing the rear muffler (11 or 12, see Fig. 6.19) must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the device "00.2.210" (pipe cutter). Measure the length of the pipes on the new rear muffler. Make sure that it matches the connecting sleeve (10) of the pipeline (4).

Replacing the rear muffler (11 or 12, see Fig. 6.19) must be carried out in the following order.…

Loosen the nuts of the coupling (10), the nuts (9) of the hinges and remove the rear muffler.

If the measured length of the pipes on the new rear muffler does not match, then transfer the dimensions to the faulty rear muffler and mark the cutting line.

Cut the exhaust pipe using the "00.2.210" tool along the markings. Clean the edge from burrs. Unscrew the exhaust system mounting nut.

Connect the new rear muffler to the front pipe (4) using an additional clamping coupling (10). When installing, position the clamping coupling so that the nuts are facing downwards, the joint should be in the middle of the coupling, while leaving sufficient distance to the parts being connected.

Install the removed components on the vehicle and check the exhaust system for leaks.

Attention! When treating the underbody with an anti-corrosion coating, it is necessary to isolate (cover; oxygen content sensor in the exhaust gas from contact with the composition of the applied coating.
