When installing the pulley, tighten its mounting nut to a torque of 70 N·m (7.0 kgf·m).

Replacing the alternator belt pulley (BMW X5 E53)
The alternator belt pulley must be replaced in the following order. Prepare the "12.7.110" device. Remove the alternator drive belt. Depending on the alternator version, hold its axis from rotating with a hexagonal socket wrench, multi-tooth socket wrench or Torx key. Unscrew the pulley nut using the "12.7.110" device (fig. 3.170) and remove the pulley.
When installing the pulley, tighten its mounting nut to a torque of 70 N·m (7.0 kgf·m).
