Attention! Perform work on a cooled engine.
The coolant temperature sensor must be replaced in the following order: Read information from the fault memory of the ECU-KSUD of the "DME" system, turn off the ignition and remove the noise-insulating casing.
Coolant temperature sensor (2, Fig. 4.136) is installed on the front pipe of the cooling system. Remove the vacuum pipe (1) and disconnect the SS (2) from the temperature sensor. Unscrew the coolant temperature sensor, collect the leaked liquid and send it for disposal.

The temperature sensor should be installed in the reverse order, replacing the sealing ring, screwing in the temperature sensor and tightening it to a torque of 16 N·m (1.6 kgf·m).
Check the coolant level and, if necessary, restore it. Remove air from the cooling system and check it for leaks.
Read information from the fault memory of the ECU-KSUD of the "DME" system. Check the recorded fault messages and eliminate the faults. Erase information from the fault memory.
