Replacing the injection system injectors (BMW X5 E53)

Troubleshooting of injectors (nozzles) should be carried out in case of unstable engine operation, poor engine starting when warm, or in case of short-term engine operation after the ignition is turned off.

Replacement of all injectors of the injection system must be carried out in the following order: Turn off the ignition, remove the distribution line (ramp) together with the injectors (see fig. 4.19).



Remove the inserts (1, Fig. 4.145) and injectors (2) from the distribution line. Replace the injectors (nozzles).



When installing the injector, lubricate the O-rings with a lubricant such as "technical petroleum jelly" to facilitate the sliding of the rubber.
