Note: Insufficient tightening torque will cause oil leakage. Excessive tightening torque will damage the oil level sensor.
The oil level sensor must be replaced in the following order. Turn off the ignition. Remove the stiffening plate, unscrew the oil drain plug and drain the oil from the engine. Send the drained oil for disposal.
Disconnect the SS (1, Fig. 5.192) from the oil level sensor. Unscrew the nuts (arrows) and remove the oil level sensor (2).
When installing the sensor, clean the sealing surface on the oil pan. Replace the oil level indicator sensor sealing gasket.
Install the stiffening plate and tighten its bolts in two stages to a torque of 56 Nm + 90°. Fill the engine with oil and check its level.
