            0

The left camshaft position sensor for intake valves on cylinder bank 5–8 is located on the cylinder head and must be replaced in the following order. Read information from the fault memory of the DME ECU KSUD. Switch off the ignition, remove the soundproofing casing and the left ignition coil casing.

Unlock and disconnect the shock absorber (1, Fig. 5.188) left intake camshaft position sensor. Release the cable from the holder. Loosen the sensor mounting bolt on the engine cylinder head and remove the left intake camshaft position sensor.

Unlock and disconnect the shock absorber (1, Fig. 5.188) left intake camshaft position sensor.…

When installing the sensor, check the sealing ring for possible damage, replace it if necessary. To facilitate sliding, lubricate the sealing ring with technical petroleum jelly.

After replacing the crankshaft position sensor, it is necessary to read the fault information from the memory of the ECU-KSUD of the "DME" system. Eliminate the faults and erase the fault information from the memory of the ECU.

The right intake camshaft position sensor on cylinder bank 1–4 is located on the cylinder head and should be replaced in the same order as the left intake camshaft position sensor on cylinder bank 5–8.
