Read information from the ECU-KSUD fault memory. Turn off the ignition, disconnect the "–" terminal from the battery and remove the generator. Carefully insert a screwdriver between the cover and the stud and remove the cover by moving it upwards.
Remove the contact screws (1, Fig. 5.181), unscrew the nut (2) and remove the voltage regulator (3). Check the surfaces of the contact rings for wear and, if necessary, grind them.
Drown the carbon brushes (1, Fig. 5.182) voltage regulator (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Install the voltage regulator (2). Insert and tighten the contact screws and nut. Assemble the generator and engine. Check the generator using the diagnostic system.
