Withdrawal
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Attention: When the battery is disconnected, the information in the electronic memory devices, such as the engine trouble memory or the radio security code memory, is erased. Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is switched off, so as not to damage the fuel injection system control unit. When disconnecting the battery, follow the instructions in sections "Radio" And "Removing and installing the battery".
Attention: On vehicles with a six-cylinder engine, the battery is located in the luggage compartment on the right side next to the spare wheel.
All models except Compact: Remove steering wheel.
Cover the steering column with a rag.
Loosen the upper securing screws -arrows- of the instrument panel and pull out the instrument panel a little.
Pull out the upper side of the instrument panel a little and pull it up to the steering column.
Disconnect 3 connectors from the back. To do this, press the spout on the connector, disconnect the bracket and fold it up. In this case, the connector is released. The figure shows the Tempomat control unit whose connector is attached in the same way.
Pull out the instrument panel. On Compact models, unscrew the light switch knob and pull the instrument panel out sideways.

Insert the instrument panel into the dashboard and secure with 2 screws.

Other models: Install the steering wheel.
Connect ground wire to battery.
