Parking brake lever — removal and installation (BMW 3 Series E46)
Removal
1. To access the lever, remove the rear section of the center console and the armrest (if it exists) (see chapter 11).
2. Loosen and remove the locknuts and parking brake adjustment nuts. Disconnect the cables from the lever.
3. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the lever from the vehicle (Fig. 15.3).
Installation
4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the center console, adjust the parking brake (see paragraph 14).
