Withdrawal
Raise the rubber boot on the handbrake lever at the rear and pull it forward.
Pry off the top side of the console trim with a screwdriver and remove the trim. You may need to disconnect the rear cigarette lighter wire from the trim.
Press down and pull out the shelf or, if the equipment is expanded, the air nozzle cover.
Loosen nut 1. Use a narrow screwdriver to press the cover off the screw 2, unscrew the screw. With an extended set of equipment to access the screw, pull the box for cassettes out of the shelf.
Pull the console up.
Turn bracket -arrow- by 90°and lift rubber seal upwards.
Unscrew 2 nuts -arrows- for handbrake cables.
Unscrew 2 nuts -arrow- for handbrake cables.
Unscrew 2 bolts 4 and bolt 5. Pull out the hand brake lever.
Installation
Guide the handbrake cables into the handbrake lever, insert the handbrake lever and screw in bolts 4 and 5.
Hand-tighten the handbrake cable nuts.
Adjust handbrake.
Turn on the ignition. The parking brake warning lamp should go out when the hand brake is released. If this does not happen, adjust switch 3 accordingly.
Put on the protective rubber cap of the hand brake lever and secure with a clip. To do this, insert the clamp and turn it by 90°.
Insert console from above and secure with 3 nuts. Tighten the front screw, put a new plastic cap on the screw head.
Insert shelf and rear console trim.
Attach the handbrake pad to the console.
