Remove the cabin air filter housing from the rear right side of the engine compartment to access the fuse and relay box.
Loosen the screws and remove the cover from the fuse box.
Pull out the preheat relay.
Check the 80 A power fuse next to the connector plug and if it is defective, replace it. Before replacing, determine the cause of the overload and eliminate it.
Disconnect the thick positive wire from the relay housing.
The figure shows a diagram of the preglow relay.
The location of the plugs is shown on the relay cover.
G1-G6 - glow plugs from 1 to 6;
KI.31 - connectable positive voltage of the ignition switch;
KI.30 - positive voltage from the battery;
Ust - control voltage (from the DDE control unit);
Dia is a place for diagnostics.
Connect the wires to the battery and connect the voltage tester to pin 31 of the plug and to «mass». Turn on the ignition. The LED in the voltage tester should light up, and if it does not, then check the voltage supply from the ignition switch.
When the LED in the voltage tester lights up, check the wires to the glow plugs for integrity, replace them if necessary. If the wires are normal, replace the preglow relay.
Reinstall the control box cover.
Close the electronic unit, install the cabin air filter.
