Inspection
During the inspection, the engine must be slightly raised to remove the load from the brackets.
Jack up the vehicle and place it securely on axle stands. Jack up the oil pan with a large piece of wood between them, then carefully lift the engine up.
Attention: Do not work under the engine while it is only supported by a jack!
Make sure the rubber pads on the brackets are not cracked, hardened, or separated from the metal plates.
Try moving the motor by inserting a large screwdriver or lever between it and the bracket. Place a screwdriver between the bracket and the body and try again. If displacement is possible, lower the engine and tighten the mounting nuts or bolts.
Replacement
To replace the brackets, disconnect the ground wire from the battery, then jack up the vehicle and place it securely on axle stands.
Support the engine.
Loosen the large nut securing the cushion to the bracket. Raise the engine slightly, then remove the bolts/nuts securing the bracket to the body and separate the bracket.
Install in reverse order.
