Left collector
If the installed charge air hoses are not degreased and damp, the turbocharger may fail.
1. Remove the lower protective cover.
2. Remove the left turbocharger (see Section Removal and installation of a turbocharger Chapters Power supply and exhaust systems).
3. Give nuts of fastening of a final collector and remove it.
4. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and replace the exhaust manifold gasket.
5. Lubricate the threaded rods with a thin layer of copper paste. Use new exhaust manifold nuts.
Right collector
1. Remove the lower protective cover.
2. Remove the right turbocharger (see Section Removal and installation of a turbocharger Chapters Power supply and exhaust systems).
3. Give all nuts on a final collector over.
4. Give all nuts on a final collector from below and remove a collector.
5. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and replace the exhaust manifold gasket.
6. Lubricate the threaded rods with a thin layer of copper paste. Use new exhaust manifold nuts.
