Removal and installation the lower steering column cover
1. Disconnect the pedal mechanism trim in the area of the steering column trim cover.
2. Set the steering column to the "up" and "extended" position.
3. Remove the apiary rivets (1).
Note: Insert the pin approximately 5 mm into the expansion rivet (1).
Note:
- The rivet can be used again.
- When installing, you need to insert the rivet and set the pin flush.
4. Loosen the steering column adjustment lever (2).
5. Grasp the recess at the bottom and remove the lower part of the steering column trim cover (3) downwards.
6. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note:
- The ratchet lock (1), guide (2), pin (3) and latch (4) must not be damaged.
- Insert the pin (3) from both sides into the hole until the latch (4) clicks, securing the lower and upper parts of the casing.
- Press the lower part of the trim cover against the steering column until the ratchet lock (1) is locked.
