Removal and installation the power steering pump with active steering
Attention:
- Do not use steel screws.
- For magnesium housings, use only aluminum screws.
- After unscrewing, aluminum screws must be replaced.
- You can distinguish aluminum screws by their blue ends.
- Strictly observe the tightening torque and angle.
Attention:
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness. Prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.
- Seal the hydraulic lines with caps.
1. Pump out the hydraulic fluid from the tank and send it for disposal.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Remove the pulley.

4. Unfasten the clamp (1) and disconnect the inlet pipe (2) from the power steering pump.
Note: When installing, it is necessary to align the inlet pipe with the mark relative to the branch pipe on the power steering pump.

5. Unscrew the screws (1).
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to replace the aluminum screws.
- Strictly follow the tightening order of the fasteners.

6. Remove the front panel of the unit protection.
7. Loosen the hollow screw (1) and disconnect the pressure pipe.
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to replace the sealing ring.
- Ensure that the pressure pipeline is laid without tension and with sufficient clearance from adjacent parts.
Tightening torque: 36 Nm.
8. Loosen the screws (2) and remove the power steering pump upwards.
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to replace the aluminum screws.
- Strictly follow the tightening order of the fasteners.
9. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
10. Tighten the threaded connections using the following method:
- 1) Tighten the power steering pump screws.
- 2) Tighten the side screws to a tightening torque of 2 Nm.
- 3) Tighten the front screws to a torque of 2 Nm.
- 4) Tighten the front screws to the specified torque and tighten them to the specified angle.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm + 90°.
- 5) Loosen the side screws and check that there is no play in the threaded fasteners.
- 6) Tighten the side screws to the specified torque and tighten them to the specified angle.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm + 90°.
3. Fill and bleed the hydraulic system.
4. Check the tightness of the pipeline connections.
