Removal and installation the lower section of the steering shaft
Caution: When the lower section of the steering shaft is disconnected from the steering gear/middle section, turning the steering wheel may damage the SZL unit.

1. Loosen the clamping screw.
2. Set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position and remove the key from the ignition switch.
3. Disconnect the lower section of the steering shaft from the steering column and remove it together with the double joint in a downward motion.
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to clean the threads from any remaining thread locker.
- Replace the clamp screw.
- The clamping screw must fit into the recess in the steering shaft.
Tightening torque: 22 Nm.

4. Unscrew the clamping screw (1).
5. Disconnect the lower section of the steering shaft (2) from the double joint.
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to clean the threads from any remaining thread locker.
- Replace the clamp screw.
- The clamp screw must fit into the groove in the lower section of the steering shaft.
Tightening torque: 22 Nm.
6. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
7. Turn the steering wheel all the way in both directions. In this case, the airbag indicator lamp should not light up.
8. Perform steering wheel angle sensor correction.
9. Check the straightness of the vehicle's movement.
