The replacement of the lower section steering shaft seal in the front shield must be carried out in the following order: Remove the lower section of the steering shaft and remove the seal from the front shield.

When installing the cuff on a left-hand drive vehicle, coat the edges of the cuff with silicone grease, with the arrow marked "LHD" (2, Fig. 12.39) on the cuff should match the arrow (1) on the front shield.
