Attention! After the installation of the steering column lock, it is necessary to check the functions of the ignition switch, direction indicators, windshield wipers, etc.
Replacement of the lock of a shaft of a steering column in gathering it is necessary to carry out in a following order. Remove the upper steering shaft bearing and ignition ring antenna.
On vehicles with AMS, disconnect the link (arrow, fig. 12.41) interlock systems. Loosen the mounting bolt (dark arrow, fig. 12.42) and take out the loop. Release the latch and disconnect the ignition lock loop.
Chisel the heads of disposable screws (arrows, fig. 12.43). Remove plate (1) and castle (2) steering column. Take out the lock cylinder and install it in the new lock.
Remove protective varnish, unscrew grub screws (arrows, fig. 12.44) and install the ignition switch on the new steering shaft lock.
When installing, cover the heads of the countersunk screws with paint. Tighten disposable screws until their heads break off at the neck.
