Replacing the lower steering column trim (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the lower steering column trim must be carried out in the following order. Set the steering column to the "up" and "extended" position. Unscrew the mounting screws (dark arrow, Fig. 12.25) lower steering column trim. Press the lower trim on both sides and move it down (light arrow).



Install the lower trim in the reverse order, while it is necessary to fix the leather cover in the trim with clamps.
