Attention:
- Do not use steel screws. Danger of electrochemical corrosion.
- For magnesium housings, use only aluminum screws.
- After unscrewing, aluminum screws must be replaced.
- You can distinguish aluminum screws by their blue ends.
- Strictly observe the tightening torque and angle.
1. Turn off the ignition.
Note: Follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover the terminal.
3. Remove the intake manifold.

4. Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).
5. Unscrew the nut.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm.
6. Remove the positive cable (2) from the battery.

7. Unscrew the screw (1).
Note: Replace aluminum screws during installation.
Tightening torque: 38 Nm.
8. Unscrew the screws (2).
Note: Replace aluminum screws during installation.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm.
9. Remove the starter (3).
10. Check the drive pinion and starter ring gear for damage; replace the starter if necessary.
11. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
