Injection system receiver (N47) (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the injection system receiver (N47)



1. Remove the soundproofing casing.

2. Replace high pressure pipelines.

3. Disconnect the high pressure line from the high pressure pump.

Attention:
  • When working with oil, fuel and coolant circuits, the generator must be protected from contamination.
  • Cover the generator.
  • Failure to comply with this condition may result in generator failure.


Attention:
  • Collect and dispose of leaking fuel.
  • Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.


4. Disconnect the connector (1) from the pressure regulator.


4. Disconnect the connector (1) from the pressure regulator.

5. Disconnect the return line (2) from the receiver.

6. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector (3).

7. Remove the screws (1).

Tightening torque: 24 Nm.



8. Remove the receiver.

9. Install the receiver.

10. Secure all high pressure lines until the head is seated.

11. Secure and tighten the receiver mounting elements.

12. Tighten the high pressure lines on the injectors.

13. Tighten the high pressure lines on the receiver side.

14. Tighten the high pressure line fasteners to the high pressure pump.
