Attention:
- When the fuel lines are disconnected, fuel leaks out. Have a collecting vessel on hand.
- Collect and dispose of leaking fuel.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
Attention:
- It is necessary to ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace.
- Avoid contact with skin (put on gloves).
- After installing the fuel tank/Before starting the engine for the first time:
- Pour at least 5 liters of fuel into the fuel tank.
- Check the connection between the filler neck and the body for conductivity. If necessary, clean the contact surfaces of the body and the threaded connection on the filler neck.
- Check the pumping function of the suction jet pump.
1. Pump out fuel from the fuel tank.
2. Remove the rear seat.
3. Remove the underbody trim.
4. Remove the parking brake cables.
5. Remove the propeller shaft assembly.

6. Loosen the bolts (1) and remove the casing (2) of the right fuel tank.

7. Disconnect the connector (1) and pipes (2 and 3) from the supply unit.
Note: Right side.

8. Unlock the quick-release valve (1) and disconnect the ventilation pipe.
Note: Left side (only in case of diesel engine).

9. Release the pipeline (3) from the holder.
10. Loosen clamps (1) and (4).
11. Disconnect the inlet hose (2).
Tightening torque: 4 Nm.

12. Unlock and disconnect the fuel supply line (1).
13. Unlock and disconnect the fuel return line (2).

Caution: Risk of damage: Do not bend pipes.
14. Unscrew the bolts and release the pipes (1) from the fasteners.

15. Shut off the fuel supply line using tools 135281 and 135282.

16. Support the fuel tank (the support area must be large).

17. Unscrew the bolt.
Tightening torque: 19 Nm.

18. Unscrew the bolts of the tension bands on the left and right and remove the bands.
Tightening torque: 19 Nm.

Note:
- When installing, pay attention to the rubber-metal hinge with spacer sleeve.
- The wide band on the expansion sleeve indicates the bolt head.

Attention:
- Remove the fuel line (2).
- Do not allow the fuel line to become kinked.
19. Lower the tank until the pipeline (1) becomes accessible.
20. Release the pipeline (1) from the holder.
21. Remove the fuel tank by moving it downwards.
Note: The tank is shown in the removed state in the picture.
22. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note:
- When replacing a pump, the following parts must be rearranged:
- Left tank level sensor unit.
- Right sensor node.
- Fuel lines on the tank.
