Removal and installation of all injectors of the injection system (M57TU/M57T2)
1. Read the fault codes of the DDE system ECU.
2. Turn off the ignition.
3. Remove the soundproofing casing.
4. Disconnect the fuel drain line.
5. Remove all pressure pipes.
Attention:
- When working with the power supply system, extreme cleanliness must be maintained.
- Do not allow dirt or foreign objects to enter the system.
- Use only lint-free cloths.
- Before installation, clean pipelines or parts from dirt.
- Seal all open holes in the fuel system with protective plugs.

Note: The following description applies to all injectors.
6. Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).
7. Unscrew the nuts.
8. Remove the nozzle (2).
Tightening torque: 30 Nm.

Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to replace the sealing rings (1 and 2).
- Replace the sealing gasket (3).
- Lightly lubricate the injector rod with high temperature resistant lubricant (part number BMW83230441070).
Caution. Risk of pressure pipeline failure. It is essential to observe the tightening torque.
Tightening torque: 23 Nm.
1. Tighten all union nuts of pressure pipes by hand.
2. Tighten the union nuts on the injectors and receiver to the specified torque.
3. Visually check the tightness of all components of the Common Rail system.

Note:
- In the case of piezo injectors, after replacing one injector, it is necessary to record a seven-digit correction value in the ECU.
- The correction value (1) should be read at the injector (2).
Note: If you replace the injectors, you must perform "Injector Characteristic Field Correction":
- 1. Connect the DIS tester.
- 2. Identify the vehicle.
- 3. Select "Select Function".
- 4. Select "Additional functions".
- 5. Select "Digital Diesel Electronics (DDE)".
- 6. Select "Injector correction".
- 7. Select "Test Plan".
- 8. Launch the service function using the right arrow key.
- 9. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note:
- Check the recorded fault codes.
- Clear fault codes.
