Removal and installation all injectors of the injection system (N47)
Attention:
- When working with oil, fuel and coolant circuits, the generator must be protected from contamination.
- Cover the generator.
- Failure to comply with this condition may result in generator failure.
Attention:
- Collect and dispose of leaking fuel.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
1. Read fault codes in the DDE control unit.
2. Turn off the ignition.
3. Remove the microfilter housing.
4. Remove the soundproofing casing.
5. Remove the rear soundproofing casing.
6. Remove all leaking fuel drain lines.
7. Remove all pressure pipes.
8. Seal all open holes in the fuel system with protective plugs.

9. Loosen the screw (1) of the clamping bracket.
10. Remove the clamp, bolt and centering washer.
11. Remove the nozzle with light upward rotational movements.
Note:
- The copper sealing ring must be replaced after each unscrewing of the clamping bracket.
- When installing, it is necessary to tighten the clamping bracket support (cylinder head cover fastening element).
Tightening torque: 7 Nm.
Note: When assembling, ensure that the spacer washer is correctly positioned in relation to the bolt centering element to align the clamping bracket. Secure the clamping bracket in the mounting position with the specified tightening torque.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm + 26 Nm.

Note:
- If the injectors are tightly seated, use the 136100 tool, which is mounted on the injector fitting.
- Remove the nozzle by gently rocking it from side to side.
Caution: Only move the injector a few degrees with the rod puller.

Note: Be sure to replace the copper sealing ring (1) on the injector (2).
Note:
- Lightly lubricate the injector rods before installation (from the copper sealing ring to the end of the injector rod) high temperature resistant lubricant (bMW part number 83230441 070).
- Observe the installation position of the high pressure connection element.

Note:
- When installing new injectors, you need to count accordingly (MA-codes.
- The meaning of correction (7-digit alphanumeric code) engraved on each nozzle.
- Enter numbers/letters according to the installation location (cylinder) of the new injectors.
1. Select "Digital Electronic Diesel Engine Control System"
2. Select "Corrections, correction of the amount of fuel injected by the injectors"
3. Select "Test Plan".
For each cylinder, when replacing one injector, a correction value must be entered.
Correction of new injectors is necessary to ensure their full functionality.

Note: Location of 1MA code (1) on piezo injector (2).
12. Assemble the engine.
13. Check the recorded fault codes.
14. Erase fault codes.
15. Check the tightness of the system.
