Air filter — design description (BMW X5 E53)

            0

Fence device (suction pipe) plays an additional role as a muffler for air intake noise and is connected to the air filter housing by a corrugated casing. Air filter (16, Fig. 3.18) has a dry replaceable element, which is replaced when the maintenance indicator light comes on.

In case of intensive use, in unfavorable natural conditions associated with dusty air, replacement is recommended, reducing its service life to 15,000-20,000 km.
