Fuel Supply System — Design Description (BMW X5 E53)

            0

The fuel supply system (Fig. 3.19) is designed to supply such a quantity of fuel to the combustion chamber that ensures complete combustion of the fuel, a given power mode, and exhaust gas toxicity and consists of the following elements:
  • fuel tank with fuel level sensors and electric fuel pump;
  • piping systems;
  • fuel filter with fuel pressure regulator;
  • fuel injection systems;
  • tank leak diagnostic module and dust filter;
  • fuel vapor recovery systems.
