The air filter with a dry replaceable filter element (10) is replaced when the light indicator of the maintenance indicator lights up. In case of intensive use, in unfavorable natural conditions, replacement is recommended with a reduction in its service life to 15,000–20,000 km or less.
Air enters the combustion chambers through a system of air ducts – the intake manifold (3, Fig. 5.22), having variable channel length depending on the crankshaft rotation frequency.
The throttle valve on the N62 engine serves as a backup unit in the engine management system. The main unit for power control is the system "Valvetronic" (see fig. 5.12).
