Withdrawal
Remove inner door trim.
Remove the film from the door cutout.
Remove the window shaft seal with clips.
Lower the glass approximately 250 mm below the top edge of the door.
Caution: To ensure safety, disconnect the power window motor connector. Risk of injury!
Turn the door latch to the position "closed". When the door lock is closed and the power window motor is turned off, the electronic control circuit is reset and automatic raising and lowering of the window is prevented.
Loosen rear guide bar bolts (Drawing W 48271).
Loosen, without unscrewing, the bolts -1- and -2- of the front guide bar.
Connect the power window motor connector and lower the window about 190 mm below the top edge of the door.
Disconnect the power window motor connector.
Unscrew the bolt -1-, loosen the bolt -2- and remove the glass rear stop.
Connect the power window motor connector and lower the window about 110 mm below the top edge of the door.
Disconnect the power window motor connector.
Remove the retaining clips of the stele frame.
Pull the power window lever out of the glass and place it at the rear of the door.
Unscrew the bolt -1-, loosen the bolt -2- and remove the glass rear stop. Pull glass up.
If necessary, remove the glass frame fastening.
Attention: Press the door handle so that the latch of the lock returns to the open position and the door can be closed.
Installation
Insert the glass and screw on the front glass stop.
Insert the power window lever into the guide. Insert retaining clip.
Connect the power window motor connector and lower the window about 190 mm below the top edge of the door.
Disconnect the power window motor connector.
Screw on the glass rear stop.
Tighten the bolts of the front glass guide bar (Drawing W 48272). Be sure to tighten the front glass mounting bolts first.
Connect the power window motor connector and lower the window about 250 mm above the top edge of the door.
Screw on rear guide bar bolts.
Insert the window shaft seal with the clips, observing the correct position of the rear rubber seal.
Pre-adjust glass with door inner lining removed, especially if parts have been replaced.
Install door trim.
Adjust glass.
Initialize the power window control electronics. Close the doors and fully raise the glass. Keep pressing the switch for approx. 5 seconds.
The reference point for automatic window lowering is the mechanical stop of the window mechanism when the window is closed. Therefore, after each repair or adjustment, it is necessary to initialize the control circuit in the manner described above.
