Attention! In models with ABS system (with or without ASC+T system) there is no need to disconnect the lines connecting the hydraulic unit with the master cylinder and accumulator (if it exists). If these lines have been disconnected and air has entered the high pressure lines, bleeding these lines should be done at a specialized service station, as this requires special equipment.
Note: Before you begin, please read the warning at the beginning of paragraph 2.
1. When replacing a pipe or hose, it is necessary to minimize fluid leaks. To do this, first remove the cap of the master cylinder reservoir. Then screw it back on, placing a piece of polyethylene film underneath to create an airtight seal. Another method is to clamp flexible hoses with suitable clamps. The connections of metal pipes can be plugged (being careful not to allow dirt to enter the system) or cover immediately after disconnecting them. To prevent liquid from spreading, place rags under the connections being disassembled.
2. When disconnecting the flexible hose, first unscrew the nut of the pipeline connection, and then remove the elastic clamp that secures the hose to its support bracket.
3. When disassembling the pipelines, it is recommended to use a wrench for the fittings of the appropriate size, which can be purchased at an auto parts store. If such a wrench is not available, use an open-end wrench that fits tightly to the edges of the nut. However, if the nut is tightly tightened or corroded, it is possible that when the wrench slips, its edges will be rounded. Most often, such an inflexible connection can only be unscrewed with a self-tightening wrench. But then, when assembling, the pipeline and damaged nuts must be replaced. Before unscrewing, always clean the connection and the adjacent area. Before disconnecting components with several connections, remember their location before starting disassembly.
4. If you need to replace the brake system pipeline, you can order it from dealers. You will receive a pipeline of the required length with flared ends and nipples and nuts installed on it. After that, you need to bend it according to the sample and install it on the car. Another way is to order a modification of the brake pipeline from the supplied kit. In this case, you must carefully measure the replaced element so that you can easily install a new one in its place. The most reliable way is to bring the failed part with you as a sample when purchasing the spare part.
5. When installing, do not overtighten the nuts. In order to maintain the integrity of the connection, do not use brute force.
6. Ensure that the pipes and hoses are laid correctly, do not allow any breaks, securely fasten them with clamps or brackets. After installation, remove the piece of polyethylene film from the tank and bleed the hydraulic system (see paragraph 2). Wash away any drips and check for leaks.
